other-worldly homage to all things outer space featuring E.T Adventures on Earth by John Williams, Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres) by Missy Mazzoli and Gustav Holst’s MONUMENTAL Symphony, “The Planets.” Each carefully curated piece transports audiences to the far reaches of the cosmos. Holst’s masterful orchestration, coupled with Williams timeless orations and Mazzoli’s unique sounds, ensures an immersive experience that captivates both seasoned classical enthusiasts and newcomers alike, making this a fitting concert to launch our 46th Season! When to Arrive: Doors open one hour before the show; most arrive 40 minutes prior. Concessions are available before the concert and during intermission. Parking: Public lot behind Avalon Theatre at 7th and Colorado, with free street and metered parking on weekends. Dress Code: Wear what you like; dressing up is optional.
