Also on the program will be Taylor’s iconic “Guides”, set to the beautiful Adagio by Tomaso Albinoni, and the mesmerizing “Sadhu”, which explores the worldly renunciation by the holy men and women in Hinduism and Jainism, set to the music of Philip Glass. BeaconFest, the state’s largest senior expo, takes over the Grand Junction Convention Center on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is FREE for a full day of entertainment and education for adults age 60 and older. BeaconFest is the best chance to visit directly with more than 100 local businesses and national agencies devoted to helping seniors age well in Western Colorado. Attendees can enjoy live music from some of the area’s most beloved musicians, sample delicious food from local restaurants and gain valuable information from expert-led seminars on a variety of topics. Plus, attendees can enter drawings for prizes every half-hour! At 1 p.m., the Volunteer of the Year ceremony will honor outstanding senior volunteers who make a difference in our community.
