Come enjoy a glass of wine as you learn about the unique role the horse has played in human history. This special evening will feature a presentation more...0 by Dr Timothy Winegard, live music by Greg Luck, food truck, local art, books sold by Out West Books, and an introduction by poet laureate of Western Colorado, Wendy Videlock. Dr. Winegard of CMU is a NYT bestselling author of six books, including The Mosquito, a Human History of Our Deadliest Predator. He has appeared on Netflix, CBS This Morning, PBS, C- Span, Global News, BBC, CBC, and hundreds of other national and international documentaries, television and radio programs to discuss his research and books. His most recent book, The Horse, a Galloping History of Humanity, will be the subject of the evening. We will enjoy a presentation by Dr Winegard, a reading of select passages from the book, as well as an interview, Q & A session and book signing. This specially formed more...0 ensemble highlights the individual talents and cohesive artistry of our orchestra in an up-close, personal setting ideal for appreciating the intricacies of the chamber repertoire. A refined, yet relaxed concert at First Presbyterian Church. When to Arrive: Doors open one hour before the show; most arrive 40 minutes prior. Dress Code: Wear what you like, though athletic attire is generally discouraged. Applause: Applause is encouraged; follow others if you are unsure when to clap. Etiquette: Please silence devices, limit noise during the performance, and be patient with traffic after the concert as it can get a little congested.
