Celebrate age at Grand Junction BeaconFest! Colorado’s premier event for boomers and seniors returns to Grand Junction on Thursday, April 17 with free admission, live music, resources and big giveaways! Grand Junction’s biggest and funnest celebration for seniors, baby boomers and their families is back! BeaconFest, the state’s largest senior expo, takes over the Grand Junction Convention Center on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is FREE for a full day of entertainment and education for adults age 60 and older. BeaconFest is the best chance to visit directly with more than 100 local businesses and national agencies devoted to helping seniors age well in Western Colorado. Attendees can enjoy live music from some of the area’s most beloved musicians, sample delicious food from local restaurants and gain valuable information from expert-led seminars on a variety of topics. Plus, attendees can enter drawings for prizes every half-hour! At 1 p.m., the Volunteer of the Year ceremony will honor outstanding senior volunteers who make a difference in our community. This full-length performance includes a variety of variations and pas de deux from popular classical ballets, as well as original contemporary works to show the versatility of our artists that you've grown to see in various roles. The array of dancing, costuming, and emotions you will walk away with makes this performance the perfect way to enjoy a date night or to treat your mother for Mother's Day. This performance features thirteen professional company artists, three trainees, and commissioned work from guest choreographers. The show is under two hours including a 20-minute intermission. Opportunities to meet the cast and take photos will follow each performance in the auditorium. Thanks to the support of a generous underwriter, CWPAC is able to offer accessible ticket pricing for this performance, ensuring more families and community members can experience the beauty of live professional ballet.
