Come and savor the flavors of Greece with traditional holiday pastries, freshly prepared gyros, and a variety of handcrafted gifts at the Greek Christmas Marketplace. Pre-orders for pastries and other delicacies are available now at stnicholasmarketplace.com, and early ordering is encouraged due to high demand. Guests are also invited to tour the church and learn about the region’s rich Orthodox heritage. A portion of proceeds supports local nonprofits including Grand Valley Catholic Outreach and Foster Alumni Mentors. With dazzling costumes, enchanting sets, and a cast of professional talent, this seasonal favorite continues to delight audiences of all ages across Western Colorado. The story On Christmas Eve, young Clara receives a magical nutcracker that leads her on an enchanting journey. After a fierce battle with the Rat King, the Nutcracker becomes a prince and whisks Clara away to the Land of Sweets, where they are welcomed with dazzling dances from around the world. All performances are under two hours including a 20 minute intermission. Opportunities for photos and to meet the cast follows each performance at no additional cost to our community. Colorado West Ballet (formerly CO West Performing Arts Company) is a 501(c)3 company established in 2022 to bring more professional performing arts to Western CO and surrounding rural communities. Professional company artists from around the world have relocated to beautiful Grand Junction to reside and dedicate themselves to their artform for our community.
